About the Event

Wintergreen Golf on Ice is a passion project that began in 2022. Katie & Jeremiah blended their love for golf and lake-life with their dedication to support Safe Haven Foster Shoppe. To-date, Wintergreen has generated over $14,000 for local kids in foster care!

Scramble format:

  • Please bring your own hitting device. We have seen hockey sticks, croquet mallets, shovels and the traditional golf club. Get creative! You just need to be able to hit a tennis ball off the ice.

  • Each team will receive a hole assignment at registration. This is the hole where you will begin your round.

  • Each player (up to 4), will hit their ball from the tee.

  • As a team, decide which shot is the best.  All other players pick up their balls and hit their next shot from the best shot location (within one club length, no closer to the hole.  Must remain in the same terrain).

  • Repeat for all remaining shots including putts.  Putts must be within 4 inches of the best shot, no closer to the hole.

  • Repeat for all holes.

  • No gimmes. No Mulligans.

  • If a neighborhood dog steals your ball, it is considered a hazard/lost ball (this HAS happened).  Take a 1 stroke penalty OR choose a different players ball and seek a replacement.
